Before Wonderland ever set the table, real hatters had already earned a reputation for going mad. Mercury used in felt making could change how they moved, spoke and behaved, helping give “mad as a hatter” its real-world roots.

Then Lewis Carroll sent his Hatter to tea and gave the madness a world of its own. We followed the grin into the dark, ignored every sign pointing home and let Wonderland completely take over the garage.

The Hatter holds court at the center with our collection plaid wrapped around his top hat, the unmistakable 10/6 card tucked into place, a wrench trinket hanging from the band and CRZY inked across his knuckles. Lavender steam rises from his tea in the shape of a question mark while the Cheshire Cat grins over his shoulder with wild purple eyes and entirely too many teeth.

Mushrooms lean in for a closer look. Playing cards scatter. A “Drink Me” bottle waits for someone curious enough to take the chance. Chains twist around a clock with a warped face and hands bent in every direction. It no longer tells Time. It argues with it.
