Some builds leave the shop… but never leave your heart.

The Sophia Flannel is inspired by one of our favorite Hales Speed Shop creations — a fully custom 1949 Chevy 3100 that rolled out of our shop looking like pure rolling artwork. LS-swapped power, a custom air ride chassis, chrome steel wheels, and wide white wall tires gave the truck a stance that looked straight out of a golden-era boulevard cruise.

The paint was something special. Sophia wore a rich gold “California Suede” metallic finish that glimmered in the sunlight like a high-end show truck… but make no mistake — she was no show truck. Sophia was built to run. When it was time to get serious, the daily tires were pulled off and drag radials went on, and she made plenty of passes down the drag strip showing people that beauty and horsepower can absolutely live in the same machine.

Today Sophia lives in Las Vegas with her new owner, but the spirit of that build lives on here.

The colors of this plaid were plucked directly from the truck itself — the rich gold of the paint and the crisp white of those classic wide white wall tires — creating an ultra-clean plaid that feels just as timeless as the truck that inspired it.

This is the kind of flannel you keep sharp. The one you pull out when it’s time to look dialed in.
