The Devil’s in the Details: Honoring 250 Years of the United States Marine Corps

At Hales Legendary Flannels, every collection we create carries a story — and some stories are bigger than fashion. They’re about grit. Brotherhood. Sacrifice. This October, we’re proud to drop something truly special: our tribute to the United States Marine Corps, celebrating their 250th anniversary this November.
Born in a Bar. Forged in Battle.
The Marine Corps was born in Tun Tavern on November 10, 1775 — fitting for a group of warriors who’d go on to fight with heart, honor, and hellfire for nearly two and a half centuries. From that first round poured to the fierce victory at Belleau Wood, where “Teufel Hunden” — Devil Dogs — earned their name, the Marines have always led from the front.
Our latest drop, The Teufel Hunden Collection, was built to honor that legacy.
The plaid features the proud colors of the Corps — scarlet red, black, gray, and gold — symbolizing courage, strength, and loyalty. Finished with gold pearlized snaps and a branded leather pocket tag, this flannel salutes the Leathernecks who’ve carried America’s grit across centuries.
It’s not just inspired by history — it’s forged in it.
And as always… the devil’s in the details.
Giving Back to Those Who Still Serve
But this drop isn’t just about honoring the past — it’s about supporting those still fighting their toughest battles today.
A portion of the proceeds from every Teufel Hunden Flannel will go directly to One Tribe Foundation — an organization dedicated to preventing veteran and first responder suicide through connection, community, and counseling.
Founded by veterans for veterans, One Tribe stands on the same principles that built the Corps: honor, courage, and commitment. Their programs bring warriors back together — through peer support, outdoor adventures, and therapy — reminding them they’re never fighting alone.
Why This Matters
Every day, 22 veterans and first responders die by suicide.
That’s 22 too many.
By supporting One Tribe Foundation, this collection helps fund life-saving mental health resources and community programs that give our nation’s heroes a reason to keep fighting.
When you wear the Teufel Hunden Flannel, you’re not just repping Hales — you’re standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the brave men and women who’ve carried the fight since 1775.
Ooh-rah. Semper Fi. Built for the Bold.
The Marines were born in a bar, forged in battle, and built to last. So we made sure this collection hits with the same energy — loud, proud, and unstoppable.
Grab your Teufel Hunden Flannel this October, wear it with pride through November, and join us in raising a glass to 250 years of the few, the proud, the bold.
Oorah and Semper Fi, Devil Dogs.
Built for the Brave. Built by Hales.
